Two Member Organizations Collaborate to Bring 1 Million Cups to NWI

Sharing the news of innovation in Northwest Indiana is what we at the Society of Innovators are all about. We especially love when our Member organizations get out and tell their stories. On May 17, Member organization Purdue Northwest Commercialization and Manufacturing Excellence Center (CMEC) hosted a 1 Million Cups event for the community, at which another Member, The Pool Python, was the featured speaker.

1 Million Cups is a nationwide program that allows entrepreneurs to present their ideas to their communities. Organizations volunteer to be hosts and the public attends for free. They are able to get a cup of coffee and a lesson in business from someone who has experienced local entrepreneurial struggles firsthand.

The Pool Python is a local business that started with the invention of a better pool cleaner. Check out what they had to say in their 1 Million Cups presentation with this WJOB video:
